This universal oil filter mount is machined from 7/16" thick aluminum and has two 3/8" ID mounting holes that measure 3-1/4" apart, center-to-center. This kit utilizes a common oil filter used on 1982-1986 Harley Big Twin & 1980-Early 1984 Sportster models, so it will be easy and inexpensive to replace. The barbed hose fittings are designed to be used with 3/8" ID oil line. Fits Harley Big Twin Panhead & Shovelhead Motors as well as Sportster Evolution Motors. You will need roughly 5 feet of 3/8" ID oil line for a Big Twin and if no oil cooler is used, you will need roughly 6 feet for a Sportster.
