- Silva 3NL is a traditional allround base plate compass suitable for basic outdoor activities. The rotatable compass housing makes it compatible with the Silva 1-2-3 navigation system and it is filled with anti-static liquid that ensures clear reading, fast settling time, perfect dampering, stability and accuracy of the needle.
- The compass housing features a stable, easy to read needle and the red/black north-south lines in the capsule bottom ensure easy and safe settling. The capsule also feature a built in clinometer used for measuring inclination of slopes.
- The baseplate with curved up back end for easy grip has a magnifying lens for precision map work together with stencil holes for start and control markings in the front.
- Equipped with a detachable scale lanyard that works like a ruler. The scale lanyard has two scales on it; 1:25, and 1:50, which makes it easier to measure the distance of your hike. Since its soft and bendable it’s easy to place directly on to your route on the map when you are out in the terrain.
- Silva only use highly durable acrylic plastic. The blend has a lot of transparency which increase the map visibilty and ensures quicker navigation. The scales and other information on our compasses are hot stamped, which makes them exceptionally durable. On all Silva compasses, the direction accuracy for Magnetic North is 1 degree. Comes with a safety cord with scales. The size of the base plate is 11.5 x 6 x 1 cm.
